Since beginning of 2020 our LAB is testing also of all types of solid metal gaskets like RTJ (Ring Type Joints). Our EN 13555 RTJ testing capabilities covers all solid metal Ring Type Joints which are: OVAL, OCT, RX, BX, LENS in any material requested. This unique service of testing RTJ solid metal gasket includes:

1. Creep & Relaxation tests - determination of the characteristic PQR and ΔeGc

• at ambient temperature RT
• at elevated temperature T (up to 800 °C)
• max available surface pressure load – 2000kN

2. Compression tests - determination of the characteristics QSmax and EG

• at ambient temperature RT
• at elevated temperature T (up to 800 °C)
• max available surface pressure load – 2000kN

3. Leakage tests - determination of the characteristics Qmin/L and QSmin/L

• at ambient temperature
• at elevated temperature temperature T (up to 500 °C)
• max available surface pressure load – 2000kN
• internal pressure level 0 – 160bar
• chart diagrams for minimum required gasket stress at assembly (Qmin/L) and work (QSmin/L) condition
• min leakage level detection possible by helium spectrometer: 5*10-12 mbar/(l*s),

4. Friction test - determination of friction factor µG

• at ambient temperature
• at elevated temperature temperature T (up to 500 °C)

Typical gasket characteristics for single gasket material:

• Creep relaxations tests at three different stress levels and three temperatures,
• compression tests at ambient and two elevated temperatures
• Leakage test at single pressure level,
